In its 2nd year of collaborating with MACFIS, PwC Malaysia once again opened its doors to participants for TaXploration Day 2019. After opening remarks by the leader of the Tax department, participants were invited to attend sharing sessions by various tax business units namely: Transfer Pricing, Indirect Tax, International Tax, Corporate Tax and e-Tax.

Speakers from each business unit shared their experiences working in PwC, what they do in their everyday work as well as answered participants’ queries during the Q&A session. During their sharing session, the e-Tax team gave a demonstration of the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) that they use for their tasks. Members of the PwC Human Capital team were also present to give participants guidance regarding their CVs and answer any questions about working at PwC.

Also present were members from Ibupreuner Malaysia, a youth-led social entrepreneurship project initiated under the Youth Leadership Academy 2019 aiming to empower women by ensuring unemployed women rise with a purpose by reviving Malaysia’s traditional recipes, such as kek lapis.

The Malaysian Accounting and Finance Society (MACFIS) is dedicated to fostering formal and informal ties between Malaysian professional and corporate bodies and Malaysian students currently enrolled in UK institutions of higher learning.
